The protestant congregation in Newcastle has existed since 1881, and has had its home in the current building in the district of Shieldfield since 1965. Services are currently held at the church on a regular basis, in the afternoons of the fourth Sunday of the month.

The renovations to the community hall are complete and we now have a patio door that leads directly to the garden, new flooring and a new kitchen. To celebrate this and to say thank you to all donors and helpers, we have decided to have a lunch together on March 30th before our AGM. All are welcome to come along for a meal or just to say hello!

The Playgroup for 0-5 year olds meets on Saturdays, 10am - 11:30am. Due to renovations in the church, we currently meet at Shieldfield Art Works, 1 Clarence Street, NE2 1YH. The Saturday School for children age 5+ meets every two weeks during term time, 11am to 1pm at the Martin Luther Kirche. The Spring term runs from 18th January to 5th April.
